Main tasks and activities in the project
Funka produces training materials about the Web Accessibility Directive focusing on the rights and possibilities for young adults with disabilities to use the legislation as a tool. As the national project coordinator in Sweden, Funka will be reaching out to organisations and individuals with disabilities to include them in the preparation of the courses of the project.
Who is Funka?
Funka is the European market leader in the field of web accessibility. The company offers expert services to develop user-friendly, efficient and accessible solutions.The company applies a highly user-centred approach with testing and close collaboration with end-users throughout the whole design and development process. Funka is considered a reference in accessibility in Europe and is highly active in EU-funded projects in fields such as e-inclusion, e-government, e-health and e-learning. On behalf of the European Commission, Funka has analysed methods for monitoring the accessibility of websites in Europe and provided recommendations regarding methodologies to be used for the monitoring of compliance with the Web Accessibility Directive. Funka experts are also contributing to the work of international, European and national standardisation bodies, including on cognitive accessibility. Funka has a staff of 48 employees.
